Genuine visitor / temporary entrant
Australian visas require that you are a genuine visitor (or genuine temporary entrant for study) and will leave before your visa ends.
How to show this
- Strong ties – job (with leave approval and return), family, property, business
- Clear purpose – specific itinerary, invitation, or study plan
- Proof of funds – you or your sponsor can cover the trip
- Travel history – previous compliance with visa conditions helps
- Consistency – dates, names, and amounts match across all documents
What to avoid
- Vague plans or inconsistent dates
- Gaps in employment or funds that you cannot explain
- Anything that suggests you might overstay or work without permission
Use our Cover Letter, Ties to Home Country, and Proof of Funds Summary templates to present a clear, consistent case.
