Visiting family or friends in the UAE
Your host (resident or citizen) can sponsor your visit. They provide an invitation and proof of status; you provide passport, photo, and often proof of funds.
From the host
- Invitation/sponsorship – through UAE channels (e.g. typing centre, immigration portal)
- Host’s ID/residence – copy of passport and UAE residence or Emirates ID
- Proof of relationship – if required (e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate)
- Proof of accommodation – tenancy or ownership
From you
- Passport – valid at least 6 months
- Photo – UAE specs
- Proof of funds – bank statements (if required)
- Travel itinerary – dates, flight
